Acceptance of terms

By creating an account or using ChaTrivia you agree to these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy and Community Guidelines. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.

The service

ChaTrivia provides live, social trivia games through the website and related applications. We may add, modify or discontinue features, and we will endeavour to give reasonable notice of material changes.

Accounts

  • You must be at least 18 years old to create an account.
  • You are responsible for everything that happens under your account.
  • One account per person; do not share accounts or sell them.
  • Provide accurate information and keep your login credentials secure.

Fair play

  • Using external aids during live play (search engines, answer bots, multiple accounts) is prohibited and may result in score resets or bans.
  • Exploiting bugs for advantage must be reported, not abused.
  • We reserve the right to void scores obtained unfairly.

Coins, rewards and virtual items

Coins and other virtual items have no monetary value, are not refundable, and cannot be exchanged for money or anything of value outside the service. We may adjust earning rates with notice.

Subscriptions

ChaTrivia Plus is an optional subscription that skips in-room advertising and unlocks extra features. Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled. You can cancel at any time; access continues until the end of the billing period.

User content

You retain ownership of content you submit (chat messages, profile content). You grant us a licence to display it as needed to operate the service. Content must comply with our Community Guidelines.

Termination

You may delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, with or without notice for serious breaches.

Disclaimers and limitation of liability

The service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential damages, and our total liability is limited to the amounts you paid us in the twelve months preceding the claim (or, if none, a nominal amount).

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which ChaTrivia operates, without regard to conflict-of-law rules.
